Journal History
At the beginning of the nineties of last century, in the School of Higher Studies Zaragoza, UNAM, a project called Editorial Program was launched, which sought to be a vehicle for the dissemination of scientific articles; this project came from the General Coordination of Postgraduate Studies, Research and Academic Development (COEPIDA) that, with the funding of the Postgraduate Studies Divisions Support Program (PADEP) and under the coordination of the Research and Postgraduate Secretariat, managed to print TIP Research and Postgraduate Topics for the first time in September 1989. This magazine was restructured in 1997 with the purpose of defining its profile by specific area of knowledge, it became known as “TIP Revista Especializada en Ciencias Químico-Biológicas” and only kept the initials “TIP” from the original magazine. This happened in what was then called the Research Division and still as Editorial Project, which in 1998 became the Division of Postgraduate Studies and Research and Editorial Program, the year in which the first issue of the magazine appeared.
