Abstract

This article reviews the historiography of the subdiscipline of the sociology of art from 1917 to 2010.

Author Biography

Alan Rico, UNAM

Alan Yosafat Rico Malacara is a doctoral candidate in Political and Social Sciences with a concentration in Sociology and a master's degree in Political and Social Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His lines of research are: sociology of art, sociology of exile and literature and society, specializing in sociology of poetry in exile. He recently completed a doctoral stay at the University of Leiden, in the Netherlands and is part of the academic working group Onderzoekers Latijn Amerika (ola) Dutch PhD Forum on Latin American Studies at the University of Amsterdam. He currently works as Associate Editor in the Mexican Journal of Political and Social Sciences of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, unam. His most recent publication is: "In search of a refuge: the poetic word as home" (2019) El Nieuwe Acá.
