About the Journal

Focus and scope
Revista Abierta is an editorial production specialized in the areas of communication, marketing and strategic design. It is aimed at researchers and students within the same thematic areas.

The objectives of Revista Abierta are:

  • Integrate institutional, chair and thesis research in programs that build complementary and sequential knowledge.
  • Define research lines and agendas attached to the reality of communications, which contribute to the academic function and project new knowledge to society.
  • To form and foster a research culture in our academic community.

Mission: to generate scientific research projects in the area of communication, marketing and strategic design, addressing issues that have relevance both for educational processes and for the market in which our graduates are inserted, and whose results are a contribution to society.

Vision: to contribute to the institution's consolidation as a regional reference in the area of strategic communications, through the generation and permanent updating of knowledge.

Functions of the Editorial and Scientific Committees

The editor is in charge of supervising all the production areas of Revista Abierta, including editorial, legal and dissemination aspects. He is in charge of convening the editorial board for periodic meetings and is in constant communication with the Scientific Committee, as well as with the reviewers and collaborators.

The Editorial Committee's function is to ensure the quality and diversity of the content of the journal. Therefore, it ensures the originality, relevance and relevance of the texts in each of the sections. It collaborates directly with the editor and monitors compliance with editorial policies.

The scientific committee is made up of specialists in the field of communications and has international prestige, as well as a great trajectory in academic and research activities.

Plagiarism detection
Revista Abierta uses specialized software for plagiarism detection.

(to be confirmed with the editor). Prior to the review, the texts are reviewed by the editor and the deputy editor, if there is one. Revista Abierta will not accept articles that have a percentage of similarity with another text published or available online greater than 35%.
