Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • El envío no ha sido publicado previamente ni se ha sometido a consideración por ninguna otra revista (o se ha proporcionado una explicación al respecto en los Comentarios al editor/a).
  • El archivo de envío está en formato OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF o WordPerfect.
  • Siempre que sea posible, se proporcionan direcciones URL para las referencias.
  • El texto tiene interlineado sencillo; 12 puntos de tamaño de fuente; se utiliza cursiva en lugar de subrayado (excepto en las direcciones URL); y todas las ilustraciones, figuras y tablas se encuentran colocadas en los lugares del texto apropiados, en vez de al final.
  • El texto se adhiere a los requisitos estilísticos y bibliográficos resumidos en las Directrices del autor/a, que aparecen en Acerca de la revista.

Author Guidelines

Se consideran dos tipos de secciones:

   a) Artículos cortos, de un máximo de 8,000 caracteres (contando espacios), que ocuparán cuatro páginas de la revista.

   b) Artículos largos, con un máximo de 20,000 caracteres (contando espacios), que aparecerán en 10 páginas de la revista.

Siendo ésta una revista de divulgación científica, se recomienda que las fórmulas matemáticas o nomenclatura demasiado especializada se reduzcan al mínimo.

El texto del manuscrito en cuestión tendrá un título y el nombre de los autores con su filiación y dirección electrónica. Podrá contener, además , un resumen, una introducción, los subtítulos necesarios de acuerdo con el tema, las conclusiones y el número necesario de referencias bibliográficas.

* The text will specify the place where the figures should be included.

* The list of figure captions will be made at the end of the text.

* Figures and videos will be included in separate files for PC.

* The texts will be sent to the following electronic address: revista@materiales.unam.mx

* The author responsible for receiving the correspondence will be indicated with an asterisk. References will be included following the following format:

For Magazines:

- Initial of the name and surname of the authors. "Title of the article" Name of the journal, VOLUME (year), initial and final page.

For books:

Initial of the first name and last name of the authors. Title of the book, Publisher, country or city, year.

Illustrations

Photographs and illustrations must be included in one of the following two formats:

a) Originals on photographic paper.
b) Digital, with a resolution of 300 dpi and in eps or tiff files.
