About the Journal
Articles published in PCT Issue 10 address a variety of topics, including original and review papers. Romero Izquierdo et al. propose the transformation of alcohol to aviation fuel for the production of bioturbosine and later, also, in relation to bioenergetics, Quiroz-Pérez et al. They report carried out modeling and simulations to find the operating conditions of a reactive distillation column for the production of renewable aviation fuel. On the other hand, Blanco-Guzmán et al. They use semiconductor nanocrystals, also known as quantum dots for their power to make sensors, solar cells, photocatalytics, and even for their use as disease detection methods. Another nanotechnology work is presented by Ontiveros-Gómez et al., on the synthesis of photosensitizing carbon nanospheres for use in photodynamic therapy with applications in cancer treatment. García-Gutiérrez and Chávez-Alegría use the photogrammetric processing of images that were obtained with unmanned aerial vehicles as an alternative to streamline the survey of accident scenarios that occurred on the road. Finally, García-Casarrubias and Suarez-Álvarez, as well as Gutiérrez-Moreno et al. address the issue of how to inhabit cities: the first ones studied the interventions and brands on the city of Querétaro (Mexico) to understand the appropriation, motivations and consequences, both for the users and for the subjects that intervene in the spaces. While the latter presented a Modular Slab in Arco system for residential houses as part of the optimization processes that contribute to addressing the current housing deficit in Mexico.
