Abstract

Based on Sen's human development approach, the authors propose to understand the quality of life of young university students by constructing a specific list of abilities. A three-step methodology is applied: first, building an archetypal list through consolidated lists; then, carrying out empirical research to include the insiders' point of view; and finally, validating the list by means of a Delphi test. As a result, we obtained a specific list of abilities with 11 dimensions, whose value is its validity, reproducibility, and potential to provide feedback for studies and public policy in the field of development.
