Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Authors Guide
The digital magazine FRONTERA BIOTECNOLOGICA publishes two categories of articles:

(i) Original works
(ii) review work
The language in which it can be published in the journals is Spanish with a summary in English.


(i) Original works
Articles about current advances or discoveries in biotechnological research. They limit themselves to developing a topic, without attempting to exhaustively cover all the general knowledge of the subject area. The language must be agile, clear and easy to understand in order to capture the interest of the non-specialized reader. The article must have the following sections:

(i) Review work
The Review or "reviews" are articles in which both theoretical and applied topics of the journal's areas of interest are analytically reviewed. The review must be concrete and well organized so that its general scope is well defined and its component parts fit together correctly in a logical order. The structure of the review is:

The works must be done online on the website of Revista Frontera Biotecnológica, at the address https://www.revistafronterabiotecnologica.cibatlaxcala.ipn.mx/Solicitudes/ according to the following format:

Aportes

Artículos de alto nivel que son producto de investigaciones originales e inéditas dentro del campo de las nanociencias y la nanotecnología, incluyendo sus implicaciones sociales, ambientales, éticas y legales, así como de aspectos regulatorios. Hallazgos o resultados originales de proyectos de investigación que evidencien una postura teórica, metodología clara, resultados, discusión y conclusiones. Todas las colaboraciones dirigidas a esta sección serán sometidas a dictamen académico bajo la modalidad de revisión por pares doble ciego.

Reseñas

Política de la sección de reseñas

En esta sección  se recibirán documentos derivador de reseñas de libros.

Trabajos de revisión

La Revisión o "reviews", son artículos en los que se revisan analíticamente tópicos tanto teóricos como aplicados de las áreas de interés de la revista. La revisión debe ser concreta y bien organizada para que de esta manera su alcance general quede bien definido y sus partes integrantes encajen correctamente siguiendo un orden lógico. La estructura de la revisión es:

  • título
